Your Role in Our Story:

The Corporate Compliance Specialist supports the effective implementation and enhancement of ACT Group’s global compliance framework. This mid-level role ensures group-wide responsibility across our EMEA and APAC compliance operations, ensuring adherence to environmental market regulations, assists in risk assessments, and drives initiatives to improve ethical and sustainable trading practices. In essence, your role involves:

  • Maintain and update internal compliance policies, controls, and documentation.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring and risk assessments across regional operations.
  • Provide guidance to the business on regulatory requirements and ethical trading standards.
  • Assist audits and investigations by compiling, reviewing and analysing compliance data.
  • Deliver or assist with training on AML, sanctions and ethical conduct.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including auditors and market registries.
  • Support compliance reporting to senior management and contribute to ESG integrity initiatives.
  • Recommend process improvements and assist in developing new compliance controls.

Your Expertise: 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related functions within commodities, energy trading or financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law preferred; degrees in Business or Finance are also welcome. 
  • Solid understanding of AML/KYC and sanctions compliance processes.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection requirements. 
  • Working knowledge of carbon and renewable energy markets (e.g. EU ETS, RECs, VCM).
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to draft and interpret policies, procedures, and reports, with strong judgment in governance and operational compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and compliance tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
