Your Role in Our Story:

We're looking for a Product Owner for Business Intelligence and Data Products who will be the link between the business users and data teams at ACT and help the company achieve the goal of using the data as an asset. As a key member of the PMO and Data Organization you will be responsible for understanding the needs of our business and translating their requirements into a well-defined roadmap for the data platform. This role involves end-to-end discovery and delivery processes, and ensuring the product aligns with ACT's overall strategy and success. The role is ideal for a candidate with experience and passion for technology, data and business who can deliver visible impact on how data is used as an asset and to drive strategic decisions. You will work closely with the Business Intelligence and Data Team and help them focus on the work with the highest priority that delivers the most value for the company. You will be reporting to the Head of PMO. In essence, your role involves:

  • Drive business-oriented product ownership by defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to ensure the delivery of high-quality BI and Data products that meet user and business needs.
  • Perform day-to-day prioritization of requests and incidents, in alignment with long term direction. Drive continuous improvements and reduce technical dept.
  • Lead the scrum ceremonies for Business Intelligence and Data Team and monitor the delivery performance against the roadmap.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments (commercial, operations, IT and SaaS vendors) to align on objectives, timelines, and product goals.
  • Manage expectations and field questions from stakeholders: prioritize features, define clear and actionable backlogs for development. Be comfortable pushing back when goals aren’t clear, or the use case is not worth the level of effort.
  • Manage the product and service lifecycle from concept through development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
  • Launch new features, requirement gathering, track performance, gather feedback, and implement improvements based on user insights, maintaining a user-centric approach.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to decision-making, using metrics and KPIs to guide priorities, and collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to communicate complex data concepts and insights to diverse audiences.
  • Clearly articulate the value of data and analytics initiatives to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Foster cross-team collaboration for a smooth development process and drive continuous improvements in product performance and capabilities, aligning with business objectives.

Your Expertise:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • 5+ years of experience as a BI/Data Product Owner or Data Product Management role.
  • Experience in trading or financial services is a plus.
  • Strong experience in defining product strategies, managing backlogs, and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Good understanding of Business Intelligence, Data and Analytics tools and processes
  • A solid focus on business processes, with the experience to translate them into business intelligence requirements and ensure their maturity in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, clear communication of ideas and priorities (both verbal and written), while further growing enterprise agility and guiding stakeholder on this journey.
  • Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and working in an Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with Data Platform lifecycle management and change management best practices.
  • A user-focused mindset with a passion for delivering products that solve real-business problems.
  • You listen well and have proactive attitude towards learning and improving both personaland team performance.
