As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will join our Global Risk department in New York, exercising full oversight and control over Americas activities. This role offers an accelerated trajectory, providing a comprehensive, deep-dive understanding of risk at the heart of ACT. You will operate within a high-velocity, entrepreneurial environment, collaborating with a diverse team of 400+ colleagues. You will interface directly with senior traders and the Risk Director, leveraging this proximity to design and deploy a global risk framework that secures our portfolio against complex market fluctuations. 

Your Expertise: 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

•    Strategic Framework Design: Refine and deploy credit risk frameworks that balance aggressive business growth with prudent capital preservation.
•    Deep-Dive Analytics: Execute rigorous credit and financial assessments, integrating business financials, operational health, and trade cycle dynamics.
•    Market Expansion: Lead credit risk assessment and structuring for emerging markets and novel trading strategies within the Americas.
•    Portfolio Stewardship: Maintain continuous oversight of the existing client base; provide real-time, decisive assessment of new trading opportunities.
•    Model Development: Architect and implement sophisticated credit risk models to enhance predictive precision.
•    Trusted Advisory: Act as the primary risk advisor to the trading floor, facilitating informed decision-making.
•    Operational Control: Oversee the nexus of market, credit, and operational risks; design and present high-fidelity monitoring metrics to key stakeholders.
•    Policy Governance: Evaluate, approve, or challenge exceptions to counterparty credit policies based on empirical risk-reward analysis.
•    Systems Integration: Partner with the technology team to define, stress-test, and refine next-generation risk intelligence systems.
•    Committee Leadership: Spearhead the monthly Risk and Compliance Committee (RCC) meetings; provide high-level briefings on exposures, risk incidents, and strategic proposals to the Americas leadership team.
•    Insurance Management: Direct the lifecycle of trade credit insurance policies for the Americas portfolio, from limit procurement to reporting and renewal.

Who you are: 

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven excellence in credit risk analysis and management within commodity trading or a top-tier financial institution.
  • Intellectual Rigor: Possess a high degree of intellectual curiosity, with a demonstrable history of structured problem-solving in complex scenarios.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: An independent thinker who relies on quantitative evidence to form conclusions; highly proficient in data-driven decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Excellence: Confident and articulate in managing high-stakes relationships with traders, leadership, and external partners.
  • Agility & Drive: A results-oriented professional capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with a relentless commitment to learning.
  • Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative-heavy discipline.

The base pay range for this position is $100k-$150k annually + discretionary bonus; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The base pay is just one component of the total competitive compensation package for employees.
